Sausage, Egg & Cheese Heavenly Waffles Sandwich

Ingredients

Waffle Base (makes 2 waffles):

  • 1 cup Heavenly Waffles Original dry mix
  • 1 cup sparkling water or club soda
  • 1 egg (required)
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil or MCT oil

Sandwich Fillings:

  • 1 turkey sausage patty (or pork sausage if preferred)
  • 1 egg (fried, scrambled, or folded)
  • 1 slice cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • Handful of baby spinach (optional)

Instructions

Make the waffles:

  1. Add sparkling water to a bowl first, then whisk in egg and oil.
  2. Slowly whisk in Heavenly Waffles dry mix and let rest 2–3 minutes.
  3. Cook in a waffle iron until golden brown and crisp (makes 2 waffles).

Cook the fillings:

  1. Heat sausage patty until browned and cooked through.
  2. Cook egg as desired (fried or scrambled).
  3. Place cheese on top of hot sausage or egg to melt slightly.

Assemble the sandwich:

  1. Place sausage, egg, and cheese between two Heavenly Waffles.
  2. Add spinach if desired.
  3. Serve hot and enjoy!
