High-Protein Power Waffle Sandwich

Two crisp Heavenly Waffles packed with lean protein, healthy fats, and big flavor — this is not your average breakfast sandwich.

Ingredients

Waffle Base (makes 2 waffles):

  • 1 cup Heavenly Waffles Original dry mix
  • 1 cup sparkling water or club soda
  • 1 egg (required)
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil or MCT oil

Sandwich Fillings:

  • 3 oz grilled chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 tbsp hummus
  • ¼ avocado, sliced or mashed
  • ¼ cup cooked liquid egg whites (or 1 hard-boiled egg, chopped)
  • Handful of baby spinach or arugula
  • Optional: Hot sauce or everything seasoning

Instructions

  1. Make the waffles:
    Follow package directions exactly.
    Add sparkling water to a bowl first, then whisk in egg and oil.
    Slowly whisk in dry mix and let rest 2–3 minutes.
    Cook in waffle iron until golden brown and crisp (makes 2 waffles).

  2. Build the sandwich:
    Spread hummus on one waffle.
    Layer with greens, grilled chicken, egg whites, and avocado.
    Add hot sauce or seasoning if desired.
    Top with the second waffle and press gently.

  3. Serve:
    Enjoy warm, or wrap and refrigerate for a protein-rich on-the-go meal.
