Chocolate Espresso Bat Heavenly Waffles
Prep Time: 15 minutes | Cook Time: 8–10 minutes | Servings: 6 bat waffles
Ingredients
For the Waffles
- 1 1/4 cup Heavenly Waffles Chocolate Espresso dry mix
- 1 cup sparkling water (or club soda)
- 1 tbsp avocado or olive oil (can also use coconut oil, ghee, or neutral oil of choice)
-
1 large egg
For the Bat Decorations
- 6 fresh strawberries
- 1 cup melted chocolate (milk or dark)
- Candy eyes (store-bought or DIY with white chocolate & mini chocolate chips)

Directions
1. Make the Waffles
- Prepare the Chocolate Espresso Heavenly Waffles according to package directions. Cook until crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
-
Allow waffles to cool slightly, then cut each waffle in half — these will become the “bat wings.” You can use a round or square waffle iron

2. Prepare the Strawberries
- Wash and dry strawberries thoroughly. Dip each one in melted chocolate.
-
Place on parchment paper and press 2 candy eyes into each strawberry while the chocolate is still soft. Let set until firm.

3. Assemble the Bats
- Place one chocolate-covered strawberry in the middle of a plate.
- Position two waffle halves on either side to look like wings.
-
Repeat until you have a spooky plate of bat waffles!
